Personality:

Remilia Scarlet is the head of the Scarlet Devil Mansion in Gensokyo. A charismatic leader who will use her power to improve her own quality of life. Because of her age and her projected life span, she tends to become bored with a quiet life. To combat this she throws theatrics into the mix to spice it up a bit. Of course her blowing small incidents out of proportion would annoy most but she sees it as nothing but a bit of fun.

Upfront she would seem forceful, intimidating and shrouded in mystery. Never willing to go too in depth with her own past, or into her sister’s, which would help to build the mystery behind the two even more. Allowing for multiple rumors to spread about exactly who the Scarlet sisters are. None of which she will confirm nor deny. Those who actually talk with her would find that she’s surprisingly polite. Which is often masked by her relative bluntness, speaking without a filter, and commanding attitude.

While those who have spent an extended amount of time with her would claim she’s rather childish and bratty. Which would match her appearance well. Often having the residents of her mansion running around to complete her odd requests. It is worth mentioning that she does know when to dial back her childish behavior to avoid offended said residents. However, the staff of the Scarlet Devil mansion would never dare to call her childish in a serious tone. It’s simply a part of her character, and it’s accepted as such.

From a young age, she was forced to fulfill the role of a guardian to protect her younger sister for their early years in Europe. Surrendering her childhood to mentally mature just so they can manage to scrap by day to day. Even now, she is still overly protective of her sister despite them being in a much safer place. Even after over five hundred years, she still finds it difficult to properly show Flandre love. Always feeling like she’s walking through a minefield whenever talking with her. Her artificial wings also serve as a grim reminder of what the two have gone through and the cost of her carelessness back then.

As a Vampire, she believe that she is above all else. Especially humans, to her they are nothing more than food. Her hatred of humans also furthers he belief that she is above them. There are only a select few humans that she would ever consider to be more then just food. With the only exception being Sakuya Izayoi. To her, Sakuya is an equal as well as being the only one she can trust with all her secrets. Her incomplete ability of manipulating fate has made her even more cocky. It would be easy to manipulate small meaningless objects, but the larger the fate the more difficult it would become. With this is mind, she will openly state what she’s capable of as a bluff and to play a bit of a mind game with whoever she’s trying to intimidate.

Despite her rather impressive status and pull in Gensokyo, she tends to play more of a backseat role in most events. Sending Sakuya out in her stead to exert her will or to simply resolve it issues for her. Only rarely does she ever take to the skies herself to resolve matters with her own hands. And even then, it will only be for her own interests. Such as directly opposing the Imperishable Night to clear her name and to remove the idea that she was the one behind it.

Her boredom is very easy trait of her to be played upon, perhaps to the point of it being a weakness. Should something interest her, she shall relentlessly pursue it until she completes the task or it’s proven to be impossible. Even if she knows she’s being manipulated she will play along with it, simply because of the fact that it’s something to do.

Abilities:

Remilia possesses the ability to manipulate fate itself. There has been no visual display of her using this ability but it is spoken of. A clear case of it would be when she predicted a meteor would fall on the Scarlet Devil Mansion. At the every least, her ability would grant her future sight. With that knowledge, she can act accordingly. Giving the illusion of her controlling fate to her will. But there is a counter argument for her actually controlling fate, but this ability isn’t completely under her control. Twisting Sakuya’s fate with hers would likely be an unintentional result of this ability.

Danmaku: Remilia, just like others of Gensokyo partakes in Spell Card Battles. Volleys of magic are thrown towards each other in an arrange of breathtaking and dazzling arrays. Remilia’s shot types uses knives, flames and lasers in addition to the traditional orbs of magic. A typical load out of hers involves these spell cards.

Bat Form: Remilia can break her body apart to take the form of a swarm of bats. To a trained or focused eye, she can easily be spotted out among the swarm. Being the largest bat of them all.

Superhuman Strength: Strength that matches that of an Oni

Superhuman Speed: Speed that matches that of a Tengu

Vampiric Regeneration: She can regenerate her whole body from her severed head in a day. Wounds ‘purified’ by fire will take dramatically longer to heal. Upwards to weeks or months.

Magically Adept: Remilia has the ability to cast magic in many forms. Her spells have a bloody hue

Summoning - Imps: Remilia can summon lesser demons with ease. These imps have to practical use in a fight and are more for running mild errands for her.

Special Note: Due to the fact that Remilia will slowly fry under the sun, whenever it is a risk for her she will be seen carrying around a parasol. There is nothing special about said parasol.
